Tour Description
We leave Hanoi early to reach our first destination, We drive on small secondary roads, winding along forests and valleys. Landscapes are wild after Thai Nguyen city. Lunch on the road. Arrival at Cho Ra at the beginning of afternoon, and take a boat waiting for you at Buoc Lo harbour. You will then continue visiting the village of Ban Cam from the Tay ethnicity located on the shore of the river. Afterwards, the boat vill take you to the Dau Dang village, also a Tay village. Night by the waterfalls at our friend Ong Pirate’s house, the chef of the jungle.Distances / Timing: ~ 235km ~ 6h.

A full day to enjoy the National Park. In the morning we go for a walk by the Nang river until the waterfalls of Dau Dang. We come back to take a boat to cross the Nang river and begin the treck throught the Hills. During the walking we cross several villages and pay a visit to our H’mong, Dao, Tay friends lost in the forest. We finally reach the Lake of Ba Be where a boat waits for us. Then,we cross the lake to get to the village of Pac Ngoi and have rest. We spend the night at Mr. Manh’s home the cook of the jungle. Ba Be is a national Park covered by one of the last primary forest of Vietnam.. Distances / Timing: ~ km ~ h

Beautiful drive up to Cao Bang province. Few passes from where you can dominate the area. The road is easy but many curves. We can stop a lot. Then we reach the beautiful village of Quang Uyen, in the middle of a mountain cirque. This is the territory of Nung An people. Spend the night in our friend’s house. We go from Quang Uyen through spectacular sceneries, to Vietnam’s most impressive waterfalls. In case of good weather, we can swim right up to where the 50m high falls hit the river. Ban Gioc waterfalls

We leave gently the region of the karsts to enter the forest again. Then we take the famous colonial road CR4 untill the frontier town of Lang Son, particular atmosphere. We sleep in a hotel in front of the market. The frontier town atmosphere The Road CR4.

In the morning we can climb up the Mau Son mount (30km South of Lang son) to enjoy beautiful sightseeing and spend a while with some red Dao families. if the weather allows it, beautiful sightseeing on China. Back to Hanoi. Easy roads
